How to Make an Item a Sales and/or Service Item in ERPNext?

Is Sales item:

All the item in the system need not be item of sales. For instance raw-material item and asset item is not meant for sale. If item is selected "Is sales item - No" then you wont be able to consider this item in sales transaction  like Quotation, Sales Order, Sales Invoice, Delivery Note, where the transaction type is "Sales"

Is service item:

After sales, if item requires services also then mark "Is Service Item - Yes". Service can be  AMC, implementation service etc. If  item is marked as service item, you will be able to select it in Quotation, Sales Order, Sales Invoice, where type is "Service". Also you can create a maintenance schedule for these items for AMCs.

Allow Samples:

If allow sample is selected as yes, system will allow you to submit delivery note at no cost.

This table helps you to maintain multiple price lists for an item.
